Majamil – Diclofenacum natricum, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. The preparation is used in the treatment of inflammation and pain of rheumatic origin. It is not antimicrobial.
Majamil – action
The active substance of the preparation is diclofenac, it is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug from the group of phenylacetic acid derivatives with strong anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties. Diclofenac counteracts the synthesis of prostaglandins, i.e. substances that play a key role in the development of inflammation. Action diclofenac consists in inhibiting the activity of cyclooxygenases – enzymes involved in the reactions of the formation of prostaglandins from lipids of cell membranes.
After oral use diclofenac it is completely absorbed. Diclofenac it is used as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever in the treatment of acute and chronic conditions such as:
- rheumatoid arthritis,
- ankylosing spondylitis,
- osteoarthritis,
- soft tissue pain syndromes (inflammation of muscles, ligaments, fascia, synovial bursae, tendon sheaths).
Majamil – treatment
Majamil is indicated in the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, spine, and soft tissue pain syndromes.
Majamil – contraindications
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or to any of the excipients, severe liver, kidney or heart failure, heart disease, and cerebrovascular disease
Use with particular caution in patients at increased risk of gastrointestinal ulceration and bleeding
Majamil – side effects
Occasionally, gastrointestinal disorders as well as skin allergies can occur, along with headaches and dizziness. Occasionally, during long-term treatment, erosions of the gastric mucosa may occur.
In case of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer or impaired liver and / or kidney function, please inform your doctor. In case of hypersensitivity to the drug, attacks of breathlessness or hay fever may occur.
Not recommended application pregnant unless absolutely necessary and when breastfeeding. The drug should not be used use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
