Magne-Balans Plus is used to prevent and treat potassium, magnesium and aspartate deficiencies. These substances are involved in various metabolic phenomena and maintain the ionic balance in the human body. Magnesium helps, among others, to fall asleep and improves concentration, potassium affects the circulatory system and water and electrolyte balance. The preparation is in the form of tablets for oral administration and is issued without a prescription.

Magne-Balans Plus – indications and dosage

Magne-Balans Plus is used to prevent and treat potassium, magnesium and aspartate deficiencies.

Drug dosage

Magne-Balans Plus is in the form of tablets to be taken orally. Do not exceed the recommended dose of the drug as it may endanger your life or health.

  1. Adults: usually 2-6 tablets / day in a dose. division (preferably after an evening meal).

Magne-Balans Plus and contraindications

Contraindications to taking Magne-Balans Plus are:

  1. allergy to any ingredient of the preparation,
  2. failure of the kidneys or adrenal cortex,
  3. hyperkalemia,
  4. hypermagnesemia,
  5. atrioventricular block,
  6. myasthenia gravis,
  7. severe arterial hypotension,
  8. do not use concomitantly with oral anticoagulants.

Magne-Balans Plus – warnings

  1. Do not use Magne-Balans Plush with phosphates, iron compounds, high doses of calcium, fluoroquinolones, tetracyclines. A 3-hour break is recommended between the administration of the above drugs and magnesium compounds.
  2. Do not take the drug in acute dehydration and extensive tissue damage (e.g. burns of large body surfaces).
  3. Do not take with other medications containing potassium.
  4. During long-term use of the drug, the levels of magnesium and potassium in the blood should be monitored.
  5. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before taking the drug.

Magne-Balans Plus and other substances

  1. Oral magnesium compounds reduce the absorption of iron preparations, antibiotics and fluoride compounds.
  2. Reducing magnesium absorption is caused by increased doses of calcium and an excess of lipids in the diet.
  3. The excretion of potassium in the urine is increased by a diet high in sodium chloride (table salt).
  4. Digitalis glycosides in combination with potassium can lead to arrhythmias.

Magne-Balans Plus – side effects

During the use of Magne-Balans Plus the following may occur:

  1. atrioventricular conduction disturbances (especially when using high doses),
  2. nausea and diarrhea (especially when the preparation is used before a meal).
