From September 9 to 20, the II Big Week of Pintxo de Alava, where the hoteliers will offer their best version of those gastronomic miniatures, which delight visitors called pintxos.
This second edition of the gastronomic contest, coincides in dates with the celebrations of the various activities that the contest develops “Magialdia“, Which is part of the XXVII International Festival of Magic, during the days 14 to 20 of September, on the occasion of the recent award given to the city, the international capital of magic, one more of the many recognitions of the city of Alava that make it an ideal place for the enjoyment of leisure and the gastronomy.
The event is organized by the Alava Hospitality Business Association (SEA Hostelería) and is sponsored by the Provincial Council of Alava, Vitoria City Council, and Basque Tour, public company of the department of economic development and competitiveness of the Basque Government., as well as brands, Cafés la Brasileña and Hotel Hogar.
Within the fusion between traditional magic and that of the kitchens of the prestigious local chefs, the contest offers the possibility of carrying out joint actions of both events such as magic stagings within the hotel and catering establishments while tasting the bites or the possibility of submitting to the contest “Pintxo Magialdia” the culinary creation that the hotelier considers to try to win this new thematic award.
A total of 34 hospitality establishments will offer and participate in the pageant-contest to offer the visitor a varied offer of 66 pintxos. Where the winner of the gastronomic sample will go directly to the final phase of the Basque Country Pintxos Championship, which will take place in the month of October.
