Mackerel is famous for its rich content of B vitamins, healthy omega-6 and omega-XNUMX fatty acids, and tender meat. Due to the high enough fat content, this fish does not require additional oil during cooking and is invariably very juicy.

Baked mackerel with cheese and eggs

Ingredients: – 2 fresh mackerels; – 2 eggs; – 0,5 teaspoons of dry mustard; – 50 g of hard cheese; – 1 tbsp. a spoonful of chopped parsley; – ½ lemon; – salt and black pepper to taste.

Boil eggs hard-boiled and chop finely. Grate the cheese, and remove the zest from half of the lemon. Combine cheese, eggs, parsley and minced lemon zest in a deep bowl. Add some salt, black pepper and mustard. Mix everything thoroughly.

Clean the fish and remove all entrails, including the gills. Carefully cut the ridge. Rinse the mackerel thoroughly under running water and pat dry with a tissue. Make two deep diagonal cuts on the sides. Salt the mackerel inside and out. Place the filling in the belly.

Ingredients: – mackerel; – 1 tomato; – 1 small onion; – ½ lemon; – parsley, dill and green onions; – salt and pepper to taste.

Gut the mackerel, wash and pat dry with a paper towel. Make several deep transverse cuts on one side. Rub inside and outside with salt, pepper and let sit for 15 minutes.

Fill the belly of the fish with chopped greens. Cut the lemon, onion and tomato into half rings. Place them in the incisions you made on the mackerel. Wrap the fish in foil and bake in an oven preheated to 200 ° C for about 25 minutes. Sprinkle the cooked mackerel with lemon juice and serve with boiled potatoes.

Ingredients: – 3 medium sized mackerels; – celery root; – ½ spoonful of mustard; – 50 ml sour cream; – 3 small onions; – salt and black pepper to taste; – ½ lemon.

Prepare the mackerel as described above. Season with salt and pepper and let sit for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, in a cup, combine sour cream, mustard, peeled and grated celery root, and onion sliced ​​into thin half rings. Start with this mixture on the fish.

Wrap the mackerel in foil, securing the edges carefully to prevent the liquid filling and juice from leaking out during cooking. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 25 ° C for 200 minutes.
