Lychee fruit – what is it

Lychee is an oval fruit (2-4 cm) of an evergreen fruit tree native to Southeast China and Thailand.

The fruits also have other names: Chinese plum, “dragon’s eye”, liji, laysi, fox. Inside the fruit there is a jelly-like pulp with a pleasant sweet and sour taste. An oval bone is present.
