“Lure” and “mustache”: how the stars make the most fashionable hairstyle

This trend came back to us from the 90s and immediately gained popularity.

Thin strands released on both sides of the face were one of the most popular hairstyles in the mid 90s. Then everyone forgot about them, but now they suddenly triumphantly returned to fashion again.

Earlier this year, star stylist Chris Appleton, who did his hair Dua Lipe on the Grammy, posted a photo of the singer with a joking caption Grammys 1999, hinting at the renewal of the trend. And the boom for “mustache” or “enticement” (this hairstyle has no official name) began to grow rapidly.

The advantages of this hairstyle are obvious. First, it allows you to effortlessly refresh your familiar look in two seconds. Secondly, it suits everyone, without exception. Thirdly, visually softens the features and slightly stretches the oval. So the owners of a round or square type of face can correct their shape without sitting for two hours in front of a mirror with a cosmetic bag.

By the way, one of the first such a hairstyle more than 20 years ago was popularized by Kate Moss, who was then almost the main trendsetter in the fashion world. She first appeared with “mustache” at the Donna Karan show, and then began to wear them in everyday life and style her hair like that for various social events.

And now this trend has been picked up by new stars, followed by most fashionistas around the world. Among them are Bella Hadid and Kim Kardashian. So there is no doubt: soon such beauty images will become fashionable everywhere.

At the same time, as is usually the case with things that come back from the past, today this hairstyle can be done both in the classic version and experiment, taking an example from famous beauties. For example, for J. Lo the same stylist Chris Appleton periodically releases not straight strands from the hairstyle, but curls them. In this case, you can try both the effect of wet hair and a rather large curl.

Adriana Lima и Kendall Jenner stack very thin curls in futuristic rings on the forehead. Priyanka Chopra, Salma Hayek и Penelope Cruz prefer, on the contrary, wide, naturally and carelessly hanging strands. Scarlett Johansson releases the lock on one side only. BUT Dakota Johnson combines “enticements” with bangs.
