Taking a snack with you to work is a healthy habit for which the body will be grateful. Only the snack should be correct, satisfying and balanced. Fast food and high-calorie snacks from vending machines will not bring anything but harm. So it is better to take care in advance to refresh yourself usefully and prepare a snack at home. Here are some suitable recipes that will be useful to you for this.
Burger instead of lunch
What is useful to have a snack at work, so as not to get better? A homemade burger with chicken cutlet and fresh vegetables on a whole-grain bun is the optimal combination, which has everything that the body needs.
Let’s start with the cutlet. As small as possible, chop 300 g of chicken fillet and 1 Bulgarian pepper, mix, season with salt, black pepper and any herbs to taste. We form 2 neat cutlets and fry until golden brown on both sides. We chop a fresh tomato with circles, and a small purple onion with rings. We cut the grain bun in half, slightly dry the cut in a frying pan without oil. We put a salad leaf with tomato slices on the half of the bun, then 2 cutlets with fresh vegetables between them, cover everything with a salad leaf and the second half of the bun. Such a balanced snack can replace a full lunch.
Spin, little salmon
Red fish is a great product for a snack. It is rich in valuable omega-fats, easily digestible protein and essential amino acids. But since this is a rather fatty variety of fish, the consumption rate should not exceed 300-450 g per week.
We offer to prepare healthy rolls with salmon and fresh vegetables. Cut 100 g of lightly salted salmon into slices. We chop the red sweet pepper with straws, and the fresh cucumber with thin plates. Finely chop half a small bunch of parsley. Sprinkle with herbs a rectangular sheet of pita bread. Put pieces of salmon, cucumber and sweet pepper on top, add small boiled chickpeas. We roll the pita bread into a tight roll, tighten it with cling film and put it in the refrigerator. If you want, smear the pita bread inside with a light sauce. To do this, mix 50 g of Greek yogurt with grated cucumber, crushed garlic clove, 1 tbsp lemon juice and a handful of chopped green onions.
Lunch box with a change of dishes
A lunch box with a whole set of snacks is what to take to work for a snack. We will collect it according to the following scheme: lean meat, beans, fresh vegetables and a hearty fruit.
The” main dish ” will be beef pork. A piece of beef weighing 500 g is washed, dried and fried in a frying pan on all sides. We scald the meat with garlic, rub it with a sauce of 2 tbsp. l. tkemali, 1 tsp. hops-suneli, a pinch of salt and black pepper. We wrap it in foil and bake it in the oven at 180 °C for 2 hours. 30 minutes before the end, we open the foil so that the beef is covered with a golden crust.
Also, soak 100 g of chickpeas overnight, then drain the water and boil until ready in fresh salted water with the addition of 1 tsp.soda. On the” side dish ” we will take fresh tomatoes and purple onions. Cut the avocado in half, remove the stone, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Put slices of pork, boiled chickpeas, some canned corn, fresh vegetables and avocado in a lunch box-here’s a complex snack for you.
Chips from the garden
Don’t know what to eat at work, being on a diet? If you no longer have the strength to crunch raw vegetables, prepare vitamin chips. The tastiest and most useful of all they will turn out from carrots. Remove the peel from 2-3 carrots, cut into the thinnest circles, mix in a bowl with 1 tsp. olive oil and sea salt to taste. You can add a little cinnamon, nutmeg and orange juice. Spread the carrot slices on a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake at 180 °C for 15-20 minutes.
According to the same principle, we will make beet chips. Cut 2 peeled beetroot into circles, spread on a baking sheet, sprinkle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Put in the oven at 200 °C for 30-40 minutes. A great addition to beet chips will be a dip of 100 g of natural yogurt and 0.5 tsp of ground curry.
Sweets without chocolate
If nothing in the world will make you give up sweets, let them be useful. Hearty balls of dates, nuts and seeds are quite suitable for this role.
Combine a handful of dried walnuts, peanuts, almonds and hazelnuts in the bowl of a blender. We grind everything into fine crumbs and pour it into a separate container. You can add some pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds or sesame seeds here. We remove the seeds from 300 g of dates and puree them in a blender in the same way. The resulting mass is mixed with ground nuts and seeds. With wet hands, we form the same neat balls. Lightly brown a handful of oat flakes in a dry frying pan and roll our koloboks into them. It remains to send them to freeze in the refrigerator for several hours.
Fruit metamorphoses
Homemade fruit pastille is another option for a sweet healthy snack. Minimum calories, maximum benefits and infinitely much fun.
We cut 2 kg of apples into slices, remove the core, wrap it in foil and put it in the oven for 20 minutes at 160 °C. Then turn the apples over and stand for another 10 minutes. Rub them into a puree, add 1 tbsp. l. honey, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. orange zest. Spread the mass in an even thin layer on a baking sheet with parchment paper, let it completely freeze at room temperature. We cut the pastille into strips and roll it up with “snails”.
You can make a pastille from a jar of plum jam. The main thing is that it should not be too sweet. We will only need the fruits, the syrup needs to be drained. We puree the fruits themselves in a blender until they have a smooth consistency. We lubricate the resulting mass with a baking sheet with parchment paper, level it and leave it for 3-5 days in a cool, dry place. When the layer freezes, we carefully roll it up and cut it into portions.
Banana-coffee energy boost
Hearty smoothies are perfect for a snack at the workplace. We offer you to try this unusual variation. First, we will cook 200 ml of strong black coffee without sugar. We cut 2 ripe bananas with washers, fill them with 200 ml of natural yogurt and cooled coffee in the bowl of a blender. You can sweeten the drink with natural liquid honey or maple syrup. And we will also put here 1 tbsp. l. flax seeds and a pinch of nutmeg — then the taste will turn out even richer. Whisk all the ingredients into a fluffy smooth mass and pour the finished smoothie into a portable beverage jar. Before you enjoy a banana-coffee smoothie, sprinkle it with cinnamon.
