Loxon 2% is a preparation used in dermatology, used to delay baldness and induce hair growth on the head. The active substance is minoxidil, a hypotensive drug. Do not administer the preparation to people under 18 years of age. Loxon 2% is available as an over-the-counter liquid for use on the scalp.

Indications for the use of Loxon 2%

Loxon 2% is a liquid intended for use on the scalp against the effects of androgenic alopecia in women and men. The active substance of the preparation is minoxidil, a hypotensive drug.

Dosage

1 ml of the solution should be spread over the baldness area and massaged into the skin (usually at the top of the head and forehead crevices) twice a day. Do not exceed the dose of 2 ml per day.

Loxon 2%, contraindications and warnings

  1. Contraindication to the use of the preparation is hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation and arterial hypertension.
  2. Treatment with Loxon 2% should be discontinued if no improvement occurs after one year of use.
  3. Loxon 2% is not intended for people under the age of 18 and over 65.
  4. Note: wash your hands thoroughly after applying the liquid to the scalp.

Loxon 2% – side effects

The use of Loxon 2% may rarely cause skin irritation and itching. Excessive hair (including facial hair), local erythema, dryness / flaking of the scalp and an increase in hair loss may occur. Rare cases of hypotension have been reported.
