They lived together for sixty years, until her death. A few days after the death of his wife, a widowed man received a letter from her in which she turned to him with a last request.

Schoolteacher Billie Breland lived with her husband Jimmy in peace and harmony for 60 years. Last year, she became seriously ill, and doctors admitted her to the Cleveland Hospital (USA). Every day her husband spent at her bedside, but love could not prolong Billy’s life — she died.

A short time after the funeral, Jimmy discovered a note in her notebook addressed to him. “Until the day I die, I will never forget the look my grandfather gave us when he showed us the letter,” recalls grandson Cliff Sims. “There were tears in his eyes, but he was smiling.” With the permission of his grandfather, Cliff posted a note on his page on the social network:

“Please don’t cry for me when I die. I want you to smile because I lived in the world! Know that now I am where I feel good. Believe we will meet again! I’ll be waiting for you».

“For me, this note is a comfort in grief and a reminder that love conquers everything, even death,” says Cliff. “It is impossible to describe in words the peace that covers the soul from the consciousness that someday they will be together again, now in eternity.”

The note is undated and the family does not know exactly when Billy wrote her message, but for her husband it will forever be the most precious and special of all that he has received in his life.
