Medical research is providing us with new proof that losing belly fat can be done painlessly… with the help ofaromatherapy !
Korean researchers submitted a group of postmenopausal women Has Massages during 6 weeks1. The happy participants received a full massage once a week and had to self-massage their stomachs twice a day (5 days / week).
One half of the group, the control group, used only grapeseed oil while the other half, the experimental group, used a blend of essential oils (containing in particular the essential oil of grapefruit and cypress). The draining, lipolytic and anti-cellulite properties of grapefruit essential oil are well known to aromatherapists.
Result: the subcutaneous abdominal fat and waistline decreased significantly in the group massaged with essential oils. At the same time, the self-image of the women in this group was more important than in the control group.
