Lorinden C – action
Lorinden C is a drug with two active substances. The first is an antiseptic clioquinol with antibacterial and antifungal properties. The other, however flumetazon, i.e. a drug from the group of corticosteroids – which has a strong anti-inflammatory, vasoconstrictive and antiallergic effect.
The drug is applied topically, it is in the form of an ointment. It easily penetrates into the horny layer of the skin. When absorbed into the body, it exhibits a general effect. It is excreted in urine and bile.

Lorinden C – indications for use
Lorinden C is used in patients with:
- dermatitis (seborrheic, atopic) or conditions of inflammation caused by allergic reactions,
- bacterial infection, including hyperkeratosis and itchy skin,
- urticarial lichen,
- allergic eczema,
- multiform erythema,
- psoriasis,
- purulent allergic complications,
- other skin problems that are resistant to treatment with other agents.
Lorinden C – contraindications
It is not recommended for people with:
- viral, tuberculous or fungal dermatitis,
- acne,
- inflammation around the mouth,
- with precancerous conditions and skin cancers,
- with itching around the anus,
- diaper rash,
- varicose ulcer,
- skin defects (e.g. wounds, burns, cuts),
- hypersensitivity to corticosteroids or any of the ingredients.
Children under 2 years of age and women in the first trimester of pregnancy should not take Lorinden C.
Lorinden C – special care
There are many types of cases where you should exercise extreme caution when using this medicine. They are:
- getting the preparation into the eye, mouth,
- use for more than two weeks,
- applying the drug to a large area of skin or damaged,
- not getting rid of side effects after medical intervention,
- use on the skin of the armpits and groin,
- atrophy of subcutaneous tissue (in the elderly),
- the occurrence of psoriasis.
Lorinden C – side effects
Lorinden C side effects may appear topically. They are:
- baking,
- itch,
- reddening,
- drying,
- skin changes,
- plamica,
- acne,
- discoloration,
- stretch marks,
- hair thickening,
- alopecia,
- allergy.

Lorinden C and pregnancy
It should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy. In its subsequent stages, the expectant mother may use the ointment, but for less than two weeks (maximum duration), only on small areas of the skin. During breastfeeding, you should monitor your body and baby’s response as the ointment may have an effect on the milk.
