It is generally accepted that bouffant is harmful to hair and looks very artificial. However, if you strictly follow the technology of creating a pile, you will not have to treat your curls, and the created hairstyle will look modern and beautiful.
Puffing is perhaps the easiest way to diversify your style, give your hair volume, shape, look glamorous and at the same time directly. First you need to thoroughly wash your hair. It is not recommended to do fleece on dirty hair, as the shape will quickly deteriorate under the weight and will look sloppy.
On wet hair, no fleece is done!
Before getting started, make sure that you choose the right comb: it should be with blunt teeth and preferably with a thin, pointed handle at the end, so that you can easily separate the strands. You will also need a natural bristle brush to shape your hair.
To add puffiness to the hair, it is better to use an attribute such as curlers, and only then proceed to combing the strands. It is very important to remember that before you start styling your hair, you need to strengthen your hair with a special hair styling product. And if you want your hairstyle to last as long as possible, you need to fix each strand with varnish after combing.
With unsharp and neat movements, separating strands 1 cm thick, comb the hair, going down, like on steps, from top to bottom, from roots to very ends. In this case, leave the first layer of hair, at the very top of the head: it is necessary for further masking the flaws of the fleece. On thin strands, the bouffant looks more refined. And you do not need to pull the strands several times, just two or three upward movements, and the effect will be amazing.
Secure the fleece with a strong hold varnish, then style according to the shape of the hairstyle you are creating: to the side, back, along the parting. With a soft brush, without combing, but smoothing the unevenness, go through the hair, and then style over the combed strands of the hair that was left without comb. Finish styling and secure the result with varnish.
Face type and hairstyle options
Consider the type of face when creating the bouffant. For example, for ladies with an oblong oval face shape, high, forehead-opening hairstyles are not recommended. Loose strands are suitable for them, combined with a light fleece on the crown. Lovers of bangs are advised to do the basic styling and only after that do the bangs. Remember also that the fleece of bangs, popular in the 80s, today look ridiculous, if it is allowed, then a soft fleece of the lower strand. On top, the hair should lie free and natural.
The fleece can also be done on short hair. It will be especially appropriate and successful if you want to create messy strands or a light but voluminous mess on the head.
The same applies to those who wear a long ponytail. Avoid combing hair at the forehead, just at the crown of the head to lift the ponytail, and a little in a bun to give it volume. The exception will be the punk rock tail. A strip of hair from the forehead to the back of the head must not only be combed, but raised in the form of a trapezoid, secured with varnish, and the remaining hair must be collected in a low tail. In this case, the hair on the temples must be tightly tightened and fixed with gel.
