Rules of landing and care
In order to make your garden really cozy, you should properly plan the planting of long-flowering perennials. The most successful, and most importantly, simple planning technique is the principle of the three. This principle implies the distribution of plants according to their flowering periods. For example, from May to June – some flowers bloom, from June to mid-summer – others, until the end of summer – the third and fourth in early autumn. So, for each time period, you choose three types of plants and plant them together, alternating with each other. Thus, in your flower bed, flowers will bloom alternately and delight the eye from mid-spring to autumn. You can also dilute them with plants that bloom or retain their decorative appearance throughout the season.
As you already know, most perennials are quite unpretentious plants. But if you take care of them and treat your flower bed with love, the result will simply amaze you. Do not forget to dig out in time and properly store plants whose root system is represented by bulbs or tubers. Some of them can be left in the ground, but should be covered for the winter. Also, do not forget that some flowers are very sun-loving, and some bloom better in the shade. Considering the relationship of the plant to the sun, you can plan how to plant them in the soil in order to get a satisfactory result.
