From 19 to 23 May, the world-renowned Royal Society of Gardeners is hosting the 87th world-renowned flower show in Chelsea, London. The most impressive exhibit this year was a plasticine garden created by renowned British TV presenter James May (Top Gear).
For the “cultivation” of orange and cherry trees, palms and numerous flower beds on a plot of 35 sq. m it took 6 weeks and 2,6 tons of plasticine. Almost 2 thousand Britons took part in the design of the garden, not only professional gardeners and landscape designers, but also ordinary people from the street.
One of James’ goals is to involve children in creativity. So that they spend less time sitting in front of computer monitors, and communicate more with their parents and older brothers and sisters, coming up with something unusual together.
Over 150 people are expected to attend the Chelsea Flower Show this year.
