10 Zhmurki | 2005 year
“Dwarfs” (2005) – a black comedy from Russian cinema opens the top ten films with black humor. In the center of the plot are two gangsters Sergei and Semyon, nicknamed Simon, who work for the crime boss Sergei Mikhailovich. The next operation, which the main bandit entrusts to his wards, ends in failure. Sergei Mikhalych gives a new task: now the guys must exchange money for heroin. But even here, unfavorable circumstances awaited Sergei and Simon. They decide to run away from Mikhalych to the capital along with drugs. A new life awaits the bandits: Sergei becomes a deputy, Simon becomes his assistant. Now they have a common business.
9. Welcome to Zombieland | year 2009
“Welcome to Zombieland” (2009) is an American black comedy. The plot twists in the country of Zombieland, once called the United States. The city was deserted, now it is difficult to meet people here, as everything is filled with living carrion. But some units still managed to survive and now their task is not to become a zombie dinner. Among these is a nerdy boy who is developing his own security plan. On his way he meets an experienced killer of the walking dead. They team up to fight – the two of them are safer and more fun. And everything goes well for the guys until they meet two sisters. This is where their real adventures begin.

“End-to-end” (2010) – an American film with notes of black humor tells about the ill-fated adventures of two men who, by the will of fate, ended up in the same place and the same plane. Peter is a successful businessman who has everything going according to plan and every minute is scheduled. He completes his business, buys a plane ticket to another country, where his pregnant wife was left to wait. As soon as Peter boards the flight, trouble begins that will haunt him throughout the film. The reason for this is an eccentric bearded man with a dog, his neighbor on board. Due to a stupid accident, the men are dropped off the plane, accusing Peter of terrorist fraud. He loses money and documents, but gains an unfortunate partner, thanks to which Peter will get into no stupid situation.
7. Nine yards | year 2000
“Nine yards” (2000) can rightfully be called a classic of black humor. Before the viewer appears one of the main characters Nicholas Ozeransky, aka Oz, who is full of problems, both personally and financially. The wife and mother-in-law do not give the man a moment of peace, besides, the father-in-law left him huge debts that he will have to pay off. But all these twists and turns turn out to be flowers. In the neighborhood of Oz, the hired killer Jimmy Tadeski with the nickname “Tulpan” settles. Nikolos’ wife learns about the activities of the new settler and his past. She persuades her husband to inform on the “Tulip” to his former accomplices from whom he fled. For this information, they should receive a decent amount of money. Oz heads to another city to track down these people and meets Jimmy’s wife. A spark of passion flares up between the characters. It was from this moment that Oz began to have serious problems.

“Dumb and Dumber” (1994) is one of the funniest black comedies from American cinema. In the center of the plot are two incredible jerks – Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas, who are good for nothing and can only cause trouble to others. One day, two friends saw a beautiful girl named Mary and fell in love with her. Beauty forgets her briefcase, which Dunn and Christmas rush to return to her. But the girl does not observe the loss at all and is in a hurry to return home to her city. The fools, of course, do not realize that the suitcase was dropped on purpose and it contains a large amount of money – a ransom prepared for the bandits for the release of Mary’s husband. Now the criminals are on the trail of the two friends to get their money back, but they end up in trouble after trouble. And resilient fools are still lucky.
5. From dusk to dawn | 1995
“From dusk to dawn” (1995) is one of the best black comedies from the horror genre. In the center of events are two brothers with a criminal past. They are about to cross the Mexican border with a large amount of money they stole from a bank. But before they leave America, they stop for the night at a roadside cafe to spend the night. Here, the criminals will have to face the devilry, which is not averse to profiting from the guys. The brothers find themselves in the very lair of vampires, they need to show all their ingenuity in order to escape from a boring place. But the locals are in no hurry to part with new guests.

“Dark Shadows” (2012) is a dark fantasy comedy that tells about the ill-fated events in the life of the wealthy estate owner Barnas Collins. He is an incorrigible local casanova, regularly hitting on the local ladies. The witch Angelique Beauchard falls in love with him, with whom he brutally broke her heart. To take revenge on her beloved, the sorceress turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. Only after two centuries, he manages to escape from the crypt, and he decides to return to his estate, where his descendants now live.
3. Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness | 1992
“Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness” (1992) – a black comedy with elements of horror and fantasy is rightfully one of the top three pictures with eccentric humor. The protagonist of the film, Ash Williams, makes a fatal mistake due to improper handling of the oldest book of spells and ends up in the distant past. Here, the demons of darkness are waiting for the hero, who are not averse to cracking down on the guy. Williams meets a local sage. He tells Ash that his appearance was predicted centuries ago. Now the hero must free the locals from the dark forces and return back to the future. The only difficulty is that Ash is alone, and the sinister dead are a whole army. A chainsaw and a rifle, which he brought with him from the future, will come to his aid.

“Bad Santa” (2003) – German black comedy about the alcoholic and criminal Willy. On Christmas Eve, he and his partner rob another hypermarket. The robbers develop a cunning plan to safely escape with the money. But on their way, a random acquaintance who is crazy about Santa Clauses and a lonely boy who is looking for a friend in a Christmas wizard stand in their way. The accomplices will have to try extremely hard so that they cannot be suspected of what they have planned.

“Machete” (2010) is one of the blackest crime comedies from American filmmakers. In the center of the plot is an experienced and merciless assassin Machete. He is ordered to kill a senator for a tidy sum. The killer does not even suspect that after the operation, they also intend to kill him. When a daring plan is revealed, Machete is about to take brutal revenge on his customer. His best friends will help him with this.
