10 Jason and the Argonauts | year 2000

“War of the Gods: Immortals” (2011) – a film about the struggle for unlimited power between the gods of Olympus and the Titans. The distraught king Hyperion planned to destroy all people and overthrow the Olympians. To do this, he releases the Titans, who have been in captivity for centuries. The only hope for salvation is Theseus, who enters the fight against the freed demons. Zeus, Phaedra and Stavros will help him in this. The fate of all Hellas depends on the outcome of the battle.

“Clash of the Titans” (2010) – a film about the god Perseus, brought up among people. The underground god Hades takes away the family from the protagonist. Now the only meaning of Perseus’s life is to take revenge on the cruel underground ruler and stop his insidious plan. He becomes the head of brave warriors and goes to the underworld, where he will face terrible monsters and other demonic evil spirits.
7. Wrath of the Titans | year 2012
“Wrath of the Titans” (2012) – a film about the unfolding war between the mythological gods. The main character of the picture, Perseus, leads a quiet life in a fishing village with his son. A decade has passed since the hero defeated the sea monster Kraken. He does not suspect that turbulent times are still going on. The weakened Olympian gods can no longer, as before, control the prison where the Titans and their leader Kronos are imprisoned. Perseus learns that the underground god Hades and the son of Zeus make a deal with Kronos to destroy the sky god. To help the Thunderer and save the people, the protagonist leaves home comfort and goes to the underworld together with Hephaestus, Poseidon, Agenor and Andromeda.

He does not understand why his father is not around and why Greek is easy for him, instead of his native English. But one day the truth is revealed to the boy, and he learns that his father is a Greek god. He is waiting for new acquaintances with divine beings and monsters. To save his own mother, who was kidnapped, he must complete tasks beyond the power of an ordinary person. Percy embarks on a dangerous and long journey with the satyr and Athena’s daughter.

“Odysseus” (1997) – a feature film about the god-cursed king of Ithaca, Odysseus. Troy was under siege by Greek soldiers for decades. Thanks to Odysseus, the army was still able to penetrate the enemy city and win. The proud king of Ithaca challenges the gods. Higher powers do not leave it just like that and punish the proud man to the fullest extent. Poseidon dooms the hero to an eternal wandering through the expanses of the sea, from which he cannot escape. While Odysseus wanders and defeats sea monsters, his son grows up, and grooms constantly crowd to his wife. Everyone is sure that the patriarch died long ago, and only the wife continues faithfully, and with hope in her heart, waits for her winner.

“Dogma” (1999) – comedy fantasy film about fallen angels named Loki and Bartleby. The main characters are doomed to stay on Earth forever. They accidentally find out that they will again be able to return to paradise with the help of an erroneous Catholic dogma, which was announced by the cardinal innovator. In order to receive forgiveness, it is enough to pass through the holy arch of the cathedral in New Jersey. After that, they need to become mere mortals, die and regain paradise. If this happens, then all life on Earth will die. Only Bethany, a relative of Jesus, can stop the irreparable tragedy. The apostle Rufus, two mortal prophets and Muse, who moonlights as a stripper, will come to her aid.

King Kotis, knowing the skill of these fighters, hires them to train his army, from which he wants to make a living invincible wall.

Thor (2011) – a fictional picture about the Scandinavian god, who got into the modern world at the behest of his father. His name is Thor. He was one of the most powerful gods, but too arrogant. Having guilty before the parent, the god Odin, he falls to Earth, having lost all power and strength. Now he must live among people, like the most ordinary person. But Thor is not going to give up and is ready to atone for his guilt. To do this, he needs to change and find the hammer Mjolnir. During the absence of the protagonist “in heaven” still does not come to rest. Thor’s friends suspect his brother of evil intent, who orchestrated the exile of God to Earth.

As an adult, he learns about his true origin. One day, after witnessing a rich man beating a Jew, Moses kills the offender. He has to flee the city. With the onset of night, a man comes in the form of the Lord, who tells him to return back and free his people from Egyptian oppression. Moses fulfills the will of God and hurries to tell Ramses to free the Jews from slavery, otherwise the Egyptians will face heavenly punishment.
