Go to the nearest supermarket, take a look at the shelves with alcohol products and you will see that the price policy of our brands is much lower, but the quality is not always worse. Here, for example, take Doctor August liqueur.

Surely many passed by this liquor and thought that for 215 rubles it was just alcohol of dubious quality and a bunch of chemical impurities. But this is far from the case, and let’s figure out what the domestic liquor Dr. August actually is.
Of course, no one will tell a centuries-old story 300 years long, since everything began only in 1894.
Then the three brothers Mikhail, Innokenty and Vladimir Pyankov organized the trading house “M. Pyankov with the Brothers. And then they built the main production enterprise “Pavlinovsky distillery”, today known as “Ussuri Balsam”.
In 2002, the plant became part of the Synergy group of companies, and from that moment a large-scale modernization of production facilities and the introduction of new management and marketing technologies began.
Today the plant produces more than 100 items of products.
Types and composition of Doctor August liqueur
Under this brand, the company produces only three types of liquor. Since the main emphasis is on various tinctures, but this is another story and we will return to it later.
And now let’s get acquainted with the line of flavors:
Doctor August “Berry Mix”
Liquor has a deep dark red color and a light cherry hue. The taste gradually reveals the spicy bitterness of mountain ash, cherry and cranberry sourness, as well as the sweetness of blueberries and resinous notes of blackberries. The strength of the drink is 20 degrees.
Doctor August “Juicy Cherry”
The drink has a dark crimson color. Cherry shades are felt in the taste, which are complemented by a pleasant tartness of chokeberry and spicy notes of almonds. The strength of the liquor is only 15 degrees.
Doctor August Raspberry Jam
Creamy raspberry liqueur with fragrant hints of blackcurrant. The taste of the drink is sweet, but not cloying, which allows you to enjoy it in its purest form. Liquor has a rich raspberry hue and 20% strength.
As for the composition, it is more than natural. High-quality alcohol “Lux” is taken as the basis, and the remaining ingredients are added according to flavoring aromas, but, as a rule, these are: berry fruit drinks, sugar syrup, citric acid and natural food flavors.
How to drink Dr. August liqueurs
The culture of consumption of Doctor August liquor does not differ at all from world famous brands. The main thing is to follow the basic rules:
Liqueur is a digestif and is usually served after the main meal.
It can be drunk from small liquor glasses in its pure form, or as part of well-known cocktails.
Berry liqueurs, like cream liqueurs, can be added as a flavoring to tea, coffee or desserts.
