Lipomal is a syrup that contains linden inflorescence extract. It is used as a soothing diaphoretic in low-grade fever. It can be used for colds, throat infections, and persistent cough, because it soothes the upper respiratory tract.
Lipomal syrup is available in a colored glass bottle with an aluminum cap and a polypropylene measuring cup.
Lipomal – what does it contain?
In the composition of Lipomal, in addition to the extract of linden inflorescence, there are auxiliary substances, which include:
- maltodextrin,
- sucrose,
- benzoic acid (E211),
- citric acid,
- guma ksantanowa,
- raspberry flavor AR0320,
- Purified Water.
Lipomal – how should the drug be dosed?
Lipomal syrup should be used according to the doctor’s recommendations or the information provided in the preparation leaflet. The dosage details are as follows:
- Children from 1 to 3 years of age – one teaspoon 2-3 times a day (max. 5 ml of liquid);
- Children from 3 to 12 years of age – one teaspoon 4-5 times a day (max. 5 ml of liquid);
- Young people over 12 years of age – one teaspoon 3-4 times a day (max. 10 ml of liquid);
- Adults – 3-4 a day one teaspoon (max. 10 ml of liquid).
Are there any contraindications to taking Lipomal
The main contraindication to taking Lipomal syrup is hypersensitivity to any of the active or excipients of the drug. In addition, you should be careful that the preparation contains sucrose, so nausea may appear in people who are intolerant to sugar.
However, Lipomal has no influence on the operation of machines and driving of vehicles.
Lipomal – side effects
Like other drugs, Lipomal can cause side effects, but in the studies performed they have not been indicated. However, it should be remembered that if the symptoms of infection do not disappear after three days of starting Lipomal treatment or if the body temperature increases (exceeding 39 degrees), consult a doctor.
