Summer freshness
Ingredients: – 200 ml of fresh lingonberries; – 1 liter of pure filtered water; – sugar or honey to taste.
To cool off in the summer heat and get the necessary vitamins, prepare lingonberry juice. Rinse the lingonberries thoroughly in a colander and drain off excess water.
Put a liter of cold water in a saucepan and place over medium heat. Please note that the water must first undergo purification, since the fruit drink will not boil during the preparation process, which means that the harmful impurities of tap water will not disappear.
Pour the berries into the water and watch the process. The water should be brought to a boil, but not boiled. When the water is at its optimum level, turn off the gas and cover the pot with a lid. You do not need to cook lingonberry juice, just let the drink brew for 10-15 minutes.
Strain the fruit drink through a colander or sieve. Add cold water to the drink or chill it in the refrigerator. If necessary, sweeten the fruit drink with sugar or honey.
A gift to immunity
In order not to forget the taste of summer and strengthen the body with useful substances, in winter, regularly cook fruit drinks from lingonberries and strawberries. You can use frozen berries for this drink.
Pour the frozen berries with boiling water and stir occasionally to melt them faster. When the berries are soft, add another volume of boiling water. Add sugar or honey if needed.
Cover the pot with a lid and wrap in a towel. After 4 hours, the fruit drink will infuse, and you can enjoy the freshness of the lingonberry-strawberry drink.
