Linden tree: planting, description

Linden is a tree that is not afraid of the shade, but pleases with its lush crown only if it is planted in a sunny place. The plant is not very demanding on the soil, but prefers to develop on sandstone, which is well flavored with humus.

Basic soil requirements for planting:

  • loose;
  • pre-fertilized with standard mineral fertilizers;
  • wet;
  • protected from frost by means of a film.

The planting hole for seeds should be at least 50 cm deep. At the bottom of the pit, it is advisable to pour a drainage layer 15 cm, which consists of the following components in equal proportions (1: 1: 1):

  • pebbles;
  • crushed stone;
  • broken brick.

Next, add humus mixed with superphosphate to the pit. It will be enough 60 grams per tree.

Next, a seedling is placed in the planting hole and carefully covered with a soil mixture of the following components in proportions of 1: 2: 2:

  • sod land;
  • sand;
  • humus.

Seeds should be planted at a distance of about 20 cm from each other (sowing 100-300 seeds per 1 meter of row length).

If all the rules for planting a linden are observed, after a year it will begin to delight with its lush crown. The main thing is not to forget that for this the plant needs as much sun as possible, if you do not want a bush on your site instead of a tree.
