Precautions when using hydrogen peroxide to lighten hair

Using hydrogen peroxide solution to bleach hair

Apply hydrogen peroxide to hair from the back of the head, gradually moving forward from the tips to the roots. Due to the fact that the roots are discolored much faster, apply the peroxide solution to them last.

If you have light and thin hair, take 3-8% peroxide solution, if thick and thick – 8-12%. If you want to lighten only individual strands, use a special hat with holes. The advantage of this hair lightening with hydrogen peroxide is the complete protection of the scalp. This means that during the bleaching procedure, only the hair will be injured, and the scalp will not be irritated.

Keep the composition on your hair for about 15-20 minutes, then wash your hair with plenty of warm water and rinse with a mild solution of apple cider vinegar or citric acid. The acid helps to neutralize the residual effects of peroxide.

It is not recommended to use hydrogen peroxide to lighten hair for people with increased skin sensitivity and a tendency to allergies.
