Bleaching on colored hair is a complex and time-consuming task, the result of which is almost impossible to predict. In the process of lightening, dyed hair can acquire a different shade – from white to orange, so they should be lightened only with special blocking agents.

It is advisable to lighten hair in beauty salons under the guidance of professional hairdressers. If you decide to become a blonde yourself, there are a number of rules to follow.

How to bleach hair at home

You can dye your hair a light color using a hair lightening product, a wide-toothed comb, an old towel, gloves and instructions for the preparation.

First of all, prepare the brightening composition, strictly following the instructions of the instructions. Apply two-thirds of the composition to dry, unwashed hair, leaving the root section intact. Comb through the hair with the composition applied along the entire length, making sure that it evenly falls on the ends of the hair, and hold the dye on the head for 15-30 minutes. The prepared paint should be applied to the hair immediately so that the foam appears on the head.

Keep the composition on for 15 minutes if you want to achieve a slight lightening, and 30 minutes if you want to strongly lighten previously colored hair. But in no case should you overexpose the product!

After the expiration date, rinse your hair thoroughly under running water using a gentle shampoo and rinse well. Remember that dyed hair is almost always weakened, so try to use quality strengthening hair care products.

Re-treatment of bleached hair

After a few months, the bleached hair will grow back 1–2 centimeters, as a result of which the roots will differ from the main part of the hair in a darker color. An additional blonding procedure should be performed, while bleached hair does not need to be bleached again.

Rinse with apple cider vinegar and chamomile for a beautiful, shiny blonde shade.

Since the structure of the hair is severely damaged during bleaching, professionals recommend subsequently performing toning of the hair, which will make it more manageable, smooth and silky.

If previously dyed hair has been lightened according to all the rules, it will easily curl and style even a few months after bleaching, without losing its healthy shine and elasticity.
