Many people live at the limit of their possibilities, and reality throws up more and more new tasks. How to deal with everything? When “everything is complicated”, you need to simplify. Our advice may seem radical, provocative, and even impractical, but you can start small – try following one or two and see how life changes.
1. Remove all applications from your smartphone. Yes, even notepad and productivity programs! Use the gadget only to write and call others – just like in the good old days. Minimize the presence of the smartphone in your life as much as possible: it is just a tool, not your best friend with whom you do not spill water.
2. Clear the area around. Tidy up your home and desktop and try to maintain it – this way you will make your life much easier.
3. Take care of yourself their psychological and physical condition. Not for others, for yourself.
4. Eat more vegetables. The life of many of us is already generous with stress and troubles, you should not add health problems to them. Start taking care of yourself today by reviewing your diet.
5. Drink more water. Your brain needs oxygen. When we drink clean water, we provide the brain with an influx of oxygen, which helps us think better.
6. Apply the “two minute rule”: if the task can be completed in two minutes, do it immediately, without delay. Don’t wait for things to pile up and small things to turn into big problems.
7. Do all the “organizational” tasks right away, especially unpleasant ones, such as paying bills or taxes. Anyway, sooner or later you will have to do it, and it will be worse if the task remains “hanging” over you.
8. Check messages no more than once or twice a day – provided, of course, that your work allows it. Try not to be distracted even by messages and calls from friends if you want to stay focused and have time to do everything you have planned.
9. Get up early. Even if you are one of those who work most effectively in the evenings, waking up early will help you get more done. Do you think that all those successful people that you read so much about on the Internet are by nature “early dies”? And here it is not. They just had and still have a good reason to get up early in the morning.
10. And go to bed early too. To make it easier to get up early in the morning and do something really useful and important, avoid casual parties that you may later regret visiting, and do not abuse alcohol and other substances.
11. Get a new email address – it’s easier than unsubscribing from unnecessary subscriptions and cleaning your old mailbox from spam. Give this address only to people with whom communication is really important to you, and soon you will know exactly where to find all the necessary and useful information.
12. Stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Absolutely, without any “sometimes” and “on a special occasion”.
13. Throw away the TV as a source of negativity in the house.
14. Go outside more often. For a run or a short walk, but definitely every day. If you work in an office, go out for at least 10 minutes to change the environment (especially if it’s stressful) and recharge.
15. Smile. By smiling, we create the right mood for ourselves on a biological level: at this moment, serotonin and dopamine are released, hormones that make us feel better.
16. Listen to uplifting music whenever possible.
17. Be honest. With everyone and especially with myself. Tell others what you think, and tell yourself what will really help you in this or that situation.
18. Break up with friends who don’t bring you joy. and doesn’t make you stronger. Do not waste time on those who pull back and do not want you to achieve everything that you dream of.
19. Say “no” to everything that can harm you in any way, – junk food and smoking, driving at high speeds and playing video games all night long.
20. Say “yes” to all opportunities to improve and make your life happier. Falling in love and communicating with real friends, healthy food and training, education and development, favorite work and the ability to enjoy life.
