Kerry Proctor was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome after having had no regular periods at age 16. The doctors told her that the situation was so bad that there was no hope of having children.

At first, Kerry was not worried about her fertility and did not even think about having children. But after she met Chris, everything changed. They began to discuss their plans for the future, and the girl realized that she could not imagine him without a child.
“We went to the doctor, there were 6 or 7 different appointments for tests, scans, consultations with specialists, and I was not too worried,” the girl says. “But one morning, a few weeks after the last visit, the doctor called and said that he had bad news: I could never get pregnant. This news shocked me. It’s very, very hard for a woman to hear. I realized that I had just been taken away from the chance to become a mom. It was heartbreaking … “
Chris supported his beloved. He said that there are other options and when the time comes, they will discuss them. But Kerry didn’t even want to think about it. Her condition worsened.
She could not look at women with strollers, crossed to the other side of the street, avoided friends with children. The news of her sister’s pregnancy added fuel to the fire. She was happy for her sister, but at the same time it was hard for her to be around. Therefore, despite the love for the family and the desire to celebrate Christmas all together, she and Chris decided to go abroad for a few days.
“I’ve always loved Amsterdam, and Chris has never been there,” Kerry continues. – For some reason I really wanted pancakes, and we ate them all the time. I felt sick from time to time, but I chalked it up to food – you can’t really eat that many pancakes. I felt a little tired, I had to stop to rest, as my legs hurt. And that was not like me at all. “
And it dawned on the girl: her symptoms are very similar to those of a pregnant sister. To calm her mind, she decided to do the test.
“At first, I just couldn’t believe my eyes that the test was positive,” Kerry told The Daily Mail. “So we went outside again and bought two more doughs. I still could not fully hope that this was true, but I already experienced incredible feelings. When I was told that I had no chance of having a baby naturally, I could never get pregnant, I was terribly depressed. In addition, my sister, whom I love very much, had just given birth, but it was too hard for me to be around. That is why it was so unusual to know about pregnancy on the most magical day of the year. “
But even after three positive tests, she could not believe her pregnancy. The girl understood that with such a difficult diagnosis, the tests could lie. A doctor’s confirmation was needed. Back in the UK, the couple had to wait another two weeks before the date of the visit to the specialist. The doctor announced that she was 13 weeks pregnant, and Carrie again could not believe her ears.
“It was scary to believe in it. After all, I was sure that I could never become a mother … We found out that we would have a boy in the 20th week. I have always wanted a son and I call him my little miracle. “
The following August, 27-year-old Kerry Proctor and 32-year-old Chris Baxter welcomed their “Christmas miracle” – their son Jackson.
“Childbirth was a terrible experience, but it was worth it. Jackson has defied all obstacles to appear here, and he is truly my “Christmas miracle”.
