Low sex drive is a problem for both men and women. Although the reasons can be varied, from an improper diet to hormonal disorders, or simply depressed mood, when the lack of desire for sex lasts too long – you need to act. Of course, mental aspects often play the first fiddle with low libido, i.e. problems in a relationship or excessive stress, but you can fight it with natural methods and without the use of harmful chemicals!
Regardless of our temperament, sex is an important aspect of everyone’s life. A successful sex life affects our general well-being, and regular intercourse improves mood and signals that everything is fine in a relationship. It is also a great way to relieve stress, which also reduces the risk of quarrels and conflicts between partners. That’s why, even if we don’t feel too bad about our low libido, we need to remember about the other side who may feel frustrated because of it. Fortunately, there are natural, simple ways to increase your sexual appetite!
Take your vitamins and get a good night’s sleep
Even scientists have proven that a sleep-deprived person “can’t”. A well-rested body has a better chance of a successful sex life than one that suffers from insomnia or poor quality sleep. Therefore, in order to feel lust again, you need to sleep! The best is a sound, regular sleep, so make sure to ventilate the room properly before going to bed. Read something in bed, drink a glass of warm milk – prepare your body for rest! Avoid frequent drinking of coffee, strong tea, as well as browsing Facebook and playing with your phone before going to bed. Using the internet before bed wakes you up, your brain is set to process information, which makes you think and makes it harder to fall asleep.
In addition, take care of supplementing with vitamins. Their deficiency causes not only a decrease in energy, but also reduces libido. Therefore, enrich your menu with products containing vitamins A, C, E, B and omega-3. You will find them in fruits, vegetables and fish, or you can bet on vitamin supplements available in pharmacies. Remember, however, that they are not a substitute for a healthy and balanced diet.
Start moving!
Regular exercise is one of the best ways to increase your desire for sex. Not only will your body look better (if you are overweight – combine exercise with diet), which will improve your self-esteem, it will also affect other processes in the body. Physical activity causes the release of dopamine, which increases the secretion of hormones responsible for libido. What’s more, when we exercise, endorphins called “happiness hormones” are secreted.
Do it often and in different ways
The more you have sex, the more you want it. Temperance is not your ally here. The same as with weaning off sweets, so also with sex – after a while, the longer you deny yourself, the less you think about them, and the desire decreases. Don’t let your sex life get stuck. If boredom has crept into the bedroom, try to diversify bed fun – try a new position, buy sexy underwear, use gels and preparations to increase libido, or use fancy gadgets. Don’t be afraid to try – and your relationship and well-being will certainly benefit from it!
