Lezginka

Lezginka is a trademark owned by the Kizlyar Cognac Factory. The enterprise with an annual revenue of more than 2,5 billion rubles is one of the largest and highly profitable producers of strong alcoholic beverages in Russia. The company has the status of an official supplier of the Moscow Kremlin: the Rossiya cognac produced by KKZ is a protocol drink of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. State Unitary Enterprise “Kizlyar Cognac Factory” was awarded the title of the best enterprise in Russia and was awarded the “Peter the Great Badge of Honor”. The assortment portfolio of the plant includes several cognac brands: “Kizlyar”, “Dagestan”, “Russia”, “Bagration”.

Historical reference. The starting point in the history of the Kizlyar Cognac Factory is considered to be 1885, when handicraft distilleries united under the leadership of the industrialist David Saradzhev began to produce the first cognacs. The components of success were the knowledge gained by Saradzhev in France, and the experience that local winemakers already had in making Kizlyarka grape vodka. Aging distillates in Caucasian oak barrels endowed the drink with a unique bouquet of aromas, which was soon appreciated at foreign exhibitions.

Vladimir Grigoryants, who headed the company in the difficult years after the anti-alcohol campaign, played an important role in the modern history of KKZ. By the beginning of the XNUMXst century, production was restored, the enterprise continued to increase its capacity and expand sales markets, entering the international arena.

At the end of 2016, Japanese businessmen became interested in the products of Kizlyar winemakers. They visited the factory in order to assess its investment potential on the spot and consider the possibility of supplying cognacs to the market of their country.

How to distinguish a fake

The plant is often faced with the unfortunate fact of the appearance of counterfeit products on the market. The fight against piracy is carried out by complicating the design, adding holographic degrees of protection. The manufacturer’s website provides external characteristics by which you can distinguish a fake from the original Lezginka cognac:

  • the top of the bottle is engraved with an oval medallion with the numbers “1885”;
  • the name of the cognac and the framing of the portrait of Bagration are made using relief stamping technology, which provides a relief;
  • the label has a varnish coating;
  • production date and batch number are marked on the neck of the bottle by laser marking;
  • on the bottom, the brand of the manufacturer of glass containers is easily distinguishable.
