PSYchology

Lev Nikolaevich Gumilyov is the most famous Russian historian-ethnologist, philosopher, author of the passionate theory of ethnogenesis (the theory that describes the historical process as the interaction of developing ethnic groups).

The book «The End and Again the Beginning» is a series of popular lectures on ethnoscience delivered by the author in the 80s (the first, significantly cropped, version of this book was published under the title «Geography of the Ethnos in the Historical Period» in 1990).

The foundations of the theory of passionarity, which brought the scientist world fame and was named by Academician D.S. Likhachev «highly humanistic», are presented in the book in a fascinating form and are accompanied by examples from the life of the peoples of Antiquity and the Middle Ages.
