The use of one-day lenses does not require any care from us. The only thing we need to remember is to wash our hands thoroughly before applying them. After wearing the lenses all day, throw them away and take out a new pair the next morning. This is not the case with monthly lenses. Since caring for them is extremely important, choosing the right fluid is crucial. We advise what to look for when buying.
Types of lens solutions
Choosing a lens fluid we should start by identifying our needs. There are three types of liquids on the market: cleaning, disinfecting and multifunctional. The type of fluid we choose should largely depend on our lifestyle and the type of lenses we wear every day.
Cleaning fluids are produced to care of hard contact lenses. Under no circumstances should they be used to remove plaque from soft lenses. Their task is to clean the surface of the lenses from any dirt that has accumulated on them during use. It is important to know that these types of liquids are only used to remove dirt and store the lenses. Down removal of protein deposits it is necessary to use special deproteinizing tablets, such as those of the EYEYE brand.

Disinfecting liquids also called oxidation, they are the most demanding in use. Since they contain hydrogen peroxide that kills bacteria, they must be stored in a special container with a sewage disc that decomposes hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. However, you should remember that in order for the lenses to be disinfected, they must lie in the liquid for at least 6 hours. Since these types of liquids do not contain preservatives, they are recommended for allergy sufferers and people with ophthalmic ailments such as dry eye syndrome.

How to care for contact lenses?
Just as important as what lens care solution we choose is how we clean and store them. We do the same with all soft contact lenses.
The first step should be to wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap – remember this before each contact of your hands with the lenses and eyes. Pour an appropriate portion of the liquid into the lens container. Place the lens taken out of the eye in the hollow of your hand and pour a few drops of the care fluid over it.
Rub the lens with gentle circular movements, thus removing all impurities from its surface. After a dozen or so seconds of cleaning, pour a few more drops of the liquid over the lens. Place the prepared lens in one of the parts of the container. We do the same with the second lens.
By caring for your lenses in this way every evening, you can be sure that they will serve you well throughout their useful life. Properly disposing of impurities and protein deposits will keep our eyes safe and prevent the development of infections, infections and serious eye diseases.
