Leadership tricks are simple tricks that usually impress others.
Example: When you ask a taxi driver “Can you take me to the airport?” you are avoiding the opportunity to show the IMPORTANCE of your desires.
1. Change the word NEED to WANT . You don’t NEED to get to the airport, you WANT to get there. No matter how desperate you feel, no matter what happens to you — you WANT or WANT, but in no case NEED. Even if you’re thirsty in the desert, you don’t NEED a glass of water. You WANT it!!
Saying «NECESSARY» you seem to be hiding behind someone’s desires. Behind the desires of someone more authoritative than YOURSELF.
It’s like you’re saying, “Don’t blame me for asking too much. I’m good and I never would have thought that you would give it to JUST ME. There is more authority that makes me ask for it.»
«Need» is the word of the weak. Use the word «WANT». It says that you are important enough to ask for something on your own.
2. Replace Requests with Statements. This is another question of self-esteem. When you ask «Can you take me to the airport?» is a great way to hide the IMPORTANCE of your desires. Try it straight: “Take me to the airport, please!”
This does not mean that you need to be rude or insolent. Be polite and tough. Let people understand the IMPORTANCE of what you are talking about.
3. Evaluate yourself, and do not wait to be evaluated. Don’t seek approval. Limit the use of phrases seeking approval. «Do you understand what I mean?» or «That’s right, right?» When you ask like that, you are subtly asking for approval. And Alpha doesn’t care at all. Be confident in what you say.
4. Be positive. Try to be «for» and not against something. Negativity is the cult of the weak! Denying is the easiest thing to deny — you don’t have to be a strong person. When you are against something, you risk nothing, but you will not achieve anything with it. Positive is more difficult, but more promising! See Total YES
