The LE error in the Samsung washing machine is most often noticeable even without referring to the scoreboard – in puddles on the floor. What are the causes of the leak and is it possible to solve the problem on your own?
Main reason for failure
LE on the display indicates the current tank.
The manufacturer changed the error codes several times, on some models the LE1, E9 sign (in machines that entered the market before 2007) or LC indicates the same problem. Fault codes are identical to each other.
Water from the machine when the hose is damaged usually ends up on the floor, the cause of the breakdown can be determined visually. But in rare cases, it is not possible to detect a malfunction by external signs: the washing machine looks serviceable, although the display shows an error.
How a malfunction is determined
If the pressure switch detects a decrease in the volume of water in the machine more than four times in a short period of time, the wash will be stopped. At the same time, the equipment shows the corresponding code on the display.
Stopping the washing machine when the drain hose is damaged avoids overheating of complex electronics. Replacing consumables is less expensive than replacing a burnt circuit board.
Some models are equipped with an aquastop. In such units, the integrity of the tank and the level of water inlet is controlled by a separate sensor. According to the principle of operation, it is similar to a float and is located at the bottom of the washer. If the process of taking and draining water is disturbed, the sump overflows with liquid, raising the sensor. The work of the equipment is interrupted, and the washer shows an LE error.

Find the leak
Weak elements of the washing machine are hoses (for draining water and connecting the drum). The sealant of the unit can also leak, which damage the little things that got into the washing machine along with the clothes during washing.
Inspect the hose
If the LEI error is displayed on the new washer, it is possible that the hose was not fastened tightly when connected. Proper installation is sufficient to clear errors.
