In L.G. direct drive washers, the drum may twitch, which means the motor is blocked or the engine is rebooted.
What does LE code mean?

The fact is that earlier LG SM models give an LE error not quite correctly. Many users confuse code 1E with LE, because it is displayed on the scoreboard as in the photo:

What to do to solve the problem
Before fixing the breakdown, let’s look at the reasons for issuing the code and how to solve the problem. What to do:
- Check the washer door for tightness. Press the hatch firmly until it clicks.
- If the error appears on the “Spin” program during a delicate wash, it is likely that the tank is overloaded with laundry. You need to reduce the weight by removing a piece of clothing.
- Unplug the LG washing machine from the mains (no more than 20 minutes), then turn it on. This should remove the error.
- There may be a foreign object. If it is stuck between the tank and the drum, it creates a mechanical blockage. To remove the item, you will have to disassemble the washing tank.
- Check mains voltage. Maybe the power supply is not enough for the correct operation of the machine, or the wiring is broken, which needs to be replaced.
- There was a power surge in the network. If this happens often, the code PF will be displayed alternately with the LE error on the display, which means “power failure”. Rebooting the system or installing a stabilizer can help.

Tachogenerator failure
This device is responsible for the speed of rotation of the engine. If the tachometer fails, the machine starts to buzz strongly, does not scroll the drum, the LE error is displayed on the display. It is necessary to check the tachogenerator and replace if necessary.
Control module problems
A sign of a breakdown is the cessation of the operation of the Lji machine in the “Washing”, “Rinse” or “Spin” modes, after which the system issues an LE error. Remove and check the module, if possible, repair it. If a part is defective, replace it.
Motor winding problems
If the winding burns out, the LE error is displayed on the display, the washing machine does not spin the drum at all. You will have to replace the stator or motor.
Door won’t close
The hatch door does not close or is not blocked, the CM displays a fault code. The lock or door handle may have broken, which needs to be replaced. There may also be a contact failure in the UBL circuit.
Check the wires and change to good ones.
Mains filter failure
A network filter malfunction can cause an LE error. Check the device for breakdown with a multimeter.
