Lavetti (Lacetti)

Lacetti is a sparkling wine drink with a wide range of flavors, which is produced by the Russian company Soyuz-Vino. A large industrial complex is located in the Kuban and is surrounded by its own vineyards, the area of which increases by 100 hectares annually. Lavetti carbonated wine first appeared in 2014 and enjoys steady popularity among buyers due to its good quality and affordable price.

Historical information

The Soyuz-Vino company was founded in 2004. Production is located in the village of Varenikovskaya in the southwest of the Krasnodar Territory. This is one of the historical regions of Russian winemaking. A modern full-cycle enterprise produces more than fifty types of grape wines, champagne and cognac. The construction of the industrial complex began in 2004, and two years later, the first products left the production lines of the plant.

The workshops are equipped with Italian-made equipment. Wines are produced according to European technologies, using the latest developments in the field of winemaking. Strict microbiological and sanitary control is carried out at all stages of production. The plant’s laboratories are among the most technically equipped in the Krasnodar Territory. In 2016, a new bottling line with a capacity of 12 bottles per hour was put into operation.

The enterprise independently produces wine materials, which are stored in containers designed for 650 decaliters. The raw material is used to make sparkling and still wines. Specialists from Italy take part in the development of the drink recipe. The company’s products were awarded the gold medal of the international exhibition Prodexpo, held in Moscow in 2019.

Production features

The company owns its own vineyards, occupying 1200 hectares. Before starting planting, the company conducted a study of the terroir together with specialists from the Kuban State Agrarian University. Seedlings of the best classic varieties were delivered from Italy. Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot grapes were planted. Plantings are perfectly symmetrical, the distance between the vines is 96 cm. Such accuracy was achieved using laser guidance devices.

The grapes are harvested by hand, trying not to damage the bunches. Raw materials are delivered to the factory, weighed and sorted. Then, in the crushing and pressing department, the juice is squeezed out of the berries and placed in tanks for fermentation. Then the wine materials are filtered and processed for long-term storage. The processing volumes are more than 5 thousand tons in one season. Additionally, raw materials are purchased from partners in Bulgaria and Macedonia.

The production of Lavetti takes place under the supervision of specialists from the Italian company Aurelia Vini Srl. Sparkling drink belongs to the category of wine cocktails. The composition of champagne includes grape juice and wine materials. A bright taste is achieved by adding various flavors. To make the wine sparkling, it is saturated with carbon dioxide.

Interesting Facts

  1. Grape harvesting at the enterprise is carried out strictly according to varieties. The collected bunches from the baskets are transferred to plastic boxes and immediately delivered to the factory. The whole process from collection to processing takes no more than four hours. During transportation, the grapes are carefully covered from the rays of the sun and protected from precipitation with the help of special capes.
  2. Soyuz-Vino products are mainly designed for Russian consumers. Despite the fact that the assortment of the enterprise includes premium class wines, it is possible to sell no more than 0,5-1% of products on foreign markets. Krasnodar wines are hindered by the lack of a well-known brand and high competition from European producers.
