Lavender syrup: a recipe at home

The syrup has a pronounced aroma of lavender, sweet, slightly tart taste.

Perfect for preparing various desserts, as a topping for desserts and summer drinks. Pairs well with coffee and tea.

Making lavender syrup

When choosing lavender, use buds that haven’t opened or fully bloomed – for the best aromatic quality, choose buds that are fully purple but still tightly closed.

You can also use dried lavender.

Ingredients

  1. Water – 250 ml

  2. Lavender – 30 g

  3. Sugars – 250 g

Method of preparation

  1. We make sugar syrup from water and sugar.

  2. Mix sugar syrup with lavender and cook over low heat for another 2 minutes.

  3. Remove from the stove and, under the lid, let it brew for 25-30 minutes, then filter.

  4. Bring to a boil again and pour into jars and close tightly.

  5. After cooling, store in the refrigerator.
