Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Penza are only four cities where the “black prince of fashion” personally came to present his new fragrance Army of Lovers and communicate with those who appreciate real perfume. I would like to note that there are many connoisseurs of the LM Parfums brand in our city. All of them gathered in the boutique of unique niche fragrances “House of Perfumer” to welcome the foreign guest. Not every day a Frenchman comes to Penza, and even of this level. During a pleasant conversation, Laurent Mazzone told Woman`s Day about his work in the world of perfumery and shared his impressions of his visit to our city.

How is a perfumer’s day?
Laurent Mazzone: It’s actually very difficult to tell how perfumers spend their day, everyone is different. For example, I really like to work at night. She inspires me more than the day. In general, black is my favorite color. This is not a fashion phenomenon, it is a passion from childhood. I love black for its elegance and mystical touch.
Indeed, the bottles from the LM Parfums collection cannot be confused with others. Laurent concluded his fragrances in identical laconic black glass bottles, quite gothic in appearance, but at the same time refined and sophisticated in content.
So your source of inspiration is the night?
Laurent: Not only. Each fragrance I create is something that I have already experienced: some kind of story, strong emotions, or, on the contrary, a dream. The first scent was inspired by the perfume of my mother as a child. Love for perfume was born then.
But your fragrance Chemise Blanche suddenly appeared in a transparent bottle …
Laurent: This is a limited edition, it was released in the summer, and therefore it is enclosed in such a bottle. The composition Chemise Blanche is associated with the aromas of the sea breeze, freshness, lightness. Now there are plans to release this fragrance in the usual black bottle.

Is it difficult to develop fragrances?
Laurent: Hard. It takes a lot of time and effort. I do everything from the heart, and it is extremely important for me to know the opinion of the person who uses LM Parfums.
And what perfume is popular in Russia?
Laurent: Sensual Orchid is very popular in Russia. Russian women use it the most.
Are you planning to release new products from LM Parfums?
Laurent: Yes, I am currently working on a new fragrance, which will appear in March next year. The main note of this fragrance is peony.
Penza connoisseurs of aromas warmly received the French perfumer. And, of course, everyone was curious if Laurent liked our city. After all, in Russia, a celebrity is not so often.
How do you like Penza?
Laurent: I arrived in your city on November 9, I was greeted very warmly. Andrey (Andrey Moseev is the owner of the boutique of unique fragrances “House of Perfumer.” – Approx. Woman`s Day) gave us a short tour of the city: we visited the museum, saw the sights. Of course, the time spent in your city is not enough to see everything. I would like more.
Why was Penza chosen for a personal visit?
Laurent: For me, the city is not so much important as the people. The Russians are generally surprisingly “warm”. In Penza, I found a person who is in love with his business, appreciates my aromas. Andrey is just that person.

Andrey Moseev joined the conversation: Penza became the fourth and last city to which Laurent personally came to present his new fragrance Army of Lovers. And this is undoubtedly a great honor both for me and, I think, for Penza. Moreover, his visit is destiny. Yes, don’t you? The stars make everything. It was they who “brought” Laurent to us, because another city was also being considered.

Andrey Moseev: Hit of sales both in Russia and in Penza Sensual Orchid. It is a very beautiful fragrance, bright and sensual. It is versatile both day and night, for which it is appreciated.
