For a long time, Poland, like its neighbors, was a “green island” on the ECDC map. On September 16, the entire area of ​​our country was marked with this color. It was known, however, that this state of affairs would not last long.

The fourth wave of coronavirus is flooding our country more and more. The greatest number of infections is at the eastern border. And this is also visible on the ECDC map. Lubelskie and Podlaskie voivodships are marked in red (a week ago it was only Lubelskie), in addition to the yellow zone, the voivodship West Pomeranian.

The epidemiological situation is also deteriorating in our neighbors. Only the Czech Republic is green and yellow. Germany and Slovakia are marked in red on the latest map, while Lithuania is marked in dark red.

According to the map from October 7, most infections are recorded in the Baltic countries – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are currently marked in dark red. The highest rate of new cases also occurs in Slovenia and half of Romania.

It is also bad – the color red – in all of Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Ireland, almost all of Germany and Austria, a large part of Greece (both mainland and insular) and Belgium, northern Norway, a small part of Spain and Hungary.

The inhabitants of France can already breathe. No region is marked in red anymore, there are only green and yellow parts. Similarly in Italy. Only the region of Basilicata in the south of the country is red, the rest are yellow and green, including Sicily and Sardinia.
