Regular style in landscaping
Performing landscape compositions in this style involves the use of clear lines. This is exactly how the arrangement of sites in France takes place, from where this direction came to Russia. Plants are planted in a checkerboard, rectangular or square pattern. Often used here is “chaotic”, but well thought out placement of all the details. A desirable element is a small grotto, which looks especially impressive on the slope. It is not difficult to build such a cave, you need to make a hill, and then imitate a small entrance inside.

All buildings and plantings are installed laconically, they are made only of natural materials. A stream, pond or decorative swamp is being built on the territory. Planting of plants and flowers, as a rule, depends on the location of objects on the territory. Closer to the fence there are trees with a “weeping” and pyramidal crown, for example, chestnut, larch, mountain ash.
Such a cozy country style
This cozy style suggests rustic-style fencing with upside-down cast iron. The arrangement of decorative wells on the territory of the garden, stuffed animals in the garden is welcome. Only those plants are planted on the ground that are suitable for the local climate.
Gazebos-houses or sheds with gable roofs, circular benches, driftwood, flower beds in logs, hammocks and swings look good. You can build a small pond, hang lanterns on the tops of trees.
The paths are laid out using round blocks or wooden flooring, having previously treated them with an antiseptic to extend their service life. Natural stone is not prohibited either. On the site itself, it is advisable to build a bed with medicinal plants, make a flower bed. Fruit trees will look organic. This charming style will appeal to those looking to recreate a rustic lifestyle in an urban setting.
The mystery of Chinese landscape design
Several millennia ago, an original style of dwelling design was born in China. According to this direction, nature and man should be in harmony with each other. Winding paths are preferred, a minimum of crops, the obligatory presence of asymmetric structures made of water and stone, this is the only way to maintain a balance between the feminine and masculine principles.
The construction of high fences is not allowed, in addition, all buildings of stone must be laid out from right to left. This approach must be followed both in the construction of structures and in the layout of paths. Lamps, benches, fences should be made only of natural materials, without paintwork. The “old age” of landscape elements, which can be created artificially with the help of mosses, lichens, etc., is welcomed.
Pines and junipers, thuja, spire, Japanese and gray spirea, rhododendrons, Japanese quince, forsythia, any ferns, lilies of the valley, wild garlic are well suited to this style. It is permissible to make bridges of planks, pagoda-shaped gazebos, “teahouse” or cube-shaped gazebos. Shallow bodies of water can intersect with horticultural crops. And you can decorate the site with ropes and ceramic lamps.
Moorish or oriental style is conducive to leisurely relaxation. As a rule, fountains are installed on the site, benches are placed, and singing birds, for example, nightingales, in cages are located throughout the territory. This design is more inherent in Muslim countries.
Designers recommend building a patio with a domed roof and stained glass windows and a tent on the site. Mosaic elements should be used in wall decor. The vegetable garden should not be large here; the cultivation of spices and melons, quince, rose hips, zucchini and peppers is encouraged. Flowers are planted in the form of a certain pattern; in the final version, the flower beds should resemble carpets.
If you want to put a barbecue on the territory, it is desirable that it be stylized as a tandoor. For the successful growth of plants, provided for by the Moorish style, it is necessary to have open ground and a large amount of water. This is not always possible to achieve in Russia, so this style of landscape design is more common in Spain and Asian countries.
