From May 27 to June 3, an international competition of garden labyrinths will be held in the Mikhailovsky Garden, which everyone can visit.

Landscape Design Exhibition

These days the II International Festival “Imperial Gardens of Russia” will unfold here, the main event of which will be an exhibition-competition of labyrinths. Russian, German, French, Dutch and Ukrainian landscape designers will take part in the fight. The organizers of the competition promise that Adrian Fischer himself, the world famous labyrinth builder, will come to participate in the jury. This master has more than 500 such structures on his account – the longest 8-kilometer labyrinth was designed by him for the last year’s Olympic Games in China.

In 2008, during the festival, the Mikhailovsky Garden was visited by about 60 people: citizens and tourists, Russian and foreign landscape specialists. In the coming summer, the influx promises to be even greater.
