Lamisilatt – action, indications, dosage, contraindications

Lamisilatt is a drug used in the treatment of fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes, yeast infections of the skin and tinea versicolor. Terbinafine is an active substance of the preparation that has an antifungal effect. The drug is a topical cream and can be obtained without a prescription.

Lamisilatt – indications and dosage

Lamisilatt is indicated for use:

  1. in fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes,
  2. in yeast infections of the skin,
  3. in mycosis of skin folds,
  4. in mycosis of smooth skin.
  5. in athlete’s foot.

Dosage

Adults. In mycosis of the feet, skin folds, smooth skin 1 ×/d on the skin for 1 week. In the case of an infected area located in the skin folds, the area where the cream has been applied may be covered with gauze. Pityriasis versicolor. 1 × / d for 2 weeks

Lamisilatt and contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Lamisilatt are:

  1. hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
  2. pregnancy and breastfeeding,
  3. do not use in children under 12 years of age

Lamisilatt – warnings

  1. If symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of starting Lamisilat treatment, see your doctor.
  2. The preparation is intended for external use only, for use on the skin.
  3. Protect the eyes from contact with Lamisilatt.
  4. In the event of accidental contact of the preparation with the eyes, rinse the eyes with running water.
  5. In the event of an allergic reaction, treatment should be discontinued.
  6. Do not use the preparation in children under 12 years of age.
  7. There is no information on the effect of the preparation on the ability to drive and use machines.
  8. Lamisilatt cream contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis)
  9. Do not use the drug during pregnancy, unless considered essential by your doctor.
  10. Lamisilat should not be used during breast-feeding as terbinafine passes into the food.

Lamisilatt – interactions

There are no known interactions of Lamisilatt with other drugs.

Lamisilatt – side effects

Side effects of Lamisilatt include mild and transient skin symptoms at the application site, such as dry skin, skin irritation, and a burning sensation. In very rare cases, allergic reactions such as rash, itching, dermatitis bullous and hives may occur.
