Lactovaginal is a drug used in gynecology. It is in the form of hard vaginal capsules which are used to restore the proper bacterial flora of the vagina. How does Lactovaginal work, and what does the use of the drug look like? We check not only if there are any precautions, but also how to store Lactovaginal vaginal capsules.
Lactovaginal – how does it work?
The action of Lactovaginal is based on the breakdown of the compounds in the vagina into lactic acid by the active substance, which are live lactobacilli strain Lactobacillus rhamnosus 573. Thanks to them, the vaginal pH maintains adequate acidity.
After administration of Lactovaginal with previous treatment with antifungal, antibacterial or anti-trichomic drugs, it was found that Lactovaginal restores the natural balance of the vagina, and also causes the vaginal discharge to normalize.
