Lądnica is a disease caused by the larvae of plant mites, causing skin changes during the harvest season.
Lądnica – epidemiology
Neotrombicula autumnalis (autumn itch) occurs in Europe, Eutrombicula alfreddugesi in the USA, Eutrombicula batatas – in Central and South America, while Leptotrombidium deliense, fletcher and akamushi occur in the Middle and Far East
The causes of the land basin
The disease is caused by adult Trombicula mites that live in grass, flowers and vines where they lay their eggs. The larvae hatch from the eggs and parasitize the skin. They attack birds, rodents and humans. In humans, they are present for several days and cause symptoms similar to scabies. Infection occurs when mowing grass.
Lądnica – symptoms
In patients with earthworm, itchy spots turning into lumps or vesicles appear at the site of the larva’s entry into the skin after a few hours.
What is the prognosis in Lądnik?
