Krynica (Krinica)

“Krynitsa” is a brand of Belarusian beer, which is produced by the plant of the same name in Minsk. The enterprise works according to traditional brewing technologies, has its own malt house and an artesian well. In recent years, the company has been introducing new product lines to the market, which form a fresh image of the famous brewery.

In addition to Krynica beer, the plant also works with seven of its own beer brands, and also brews Kaltenberg and Zolotaya Bochka beer under license from the German König Ludwig International and the Turkish company Anadolu Efes.

To date, the company, equipped with equipment from Germany, annually produces 24 million deciliters of beer. The products are poured into glass and PET bottles, kegs, and the plant fills aluminum cans for all Belarusian breweries. Beer “Krynica” is supplied to 13 states. Official representations and distributors are located in Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Moldova, Latvia.

Historical information

The construction of the Minsk Brewery No. 2, originally designed for an annual production of 7 million decalitres of intoxicating drink, was started in 1973, and two years later the company brewed the first beer. In 1986, the brewery received its current name “Krinitsa”, and six years later it became a rental company. With the advent of the new millennium, the company changed its form of ownership. In 2003, with state support and under the patronage of Priorbank, a large-scale modernization began.

The transformations were carried out in several stages and were completed in 2010. During this time, German equipment was installed at the plant, the ISO 9001-2001 quality management system was introduced, and export deliveries of products began. The Polotsk Pivo company became part of Krinitsa as a branch. The brewing capacity was increased to 24 million decalitres, confirming the status of the enterprise as the largest national beer producer.
