Krona dishwasher error codes – what do they mean

Dishwasher “Krona” gives an error code? When the icons on the display light up, the self-diagnosis system informs you of a breakdown. But how do you know where to look for a problem? To do this, the instructions indicate the decoding of all errors. In our publication you will also find an explanation of these symbols.

We will tell you how to fix the breakdown and restore the operation of the PMM.

We determine the meaning and ways to eliminate the errors of the Krona dishwasher

As soon as a fault code is noticed on the scoreboard, do not rush to panic. If no other signs of failure are found, try resetting the error. What do we have to do:

  • disconnect equipment from the network for 10-15 minutes;
  • start the machine again and look at the screen.

Are the icons lit on the display? This means that this is not a system failure, but a technical problem that needs to be fixed. You can try to cope on your own.

Error codeValueCauses of appearanceHow to fix a problem
E1Water does not enter the bunker.

Aquastop protection turned on. It works if there is a leak. Located on the inlet hose.

Water access is blocked until the problem is solved.

Carefully inspect the body of the machine, check the connections, the integrity of the hoses and pipes. Look for water leaking from the side of the door: the seal may have worn out. Replace defective elements.
E2The water does not drain.Why PMM “Krona” can show this error:
  • clogged drain filter;
  • the drain hose is clogged;
  • the impeller of the pump is blocked or the pump is defective;
  • problems in the operation of the pressure switch;
  • the triac of the control module burned out.
  1. Check hose and filter for blockage.
  2. Inspect the pump impeller. She could be blocked by a foreign object. In the event of a breakdown, the pump must be replaced.
  3. Diagnose the level sensor. If it gives incorrect indications of the water level in the hopper to the electronic module, then the board does not give a command to drain.
  4. The triac controlling the pump is faulty. The module needs to be repaired or replaced.
E3There is no heating.The reasons:
  • there were problems with the heating element or its wiring;
  • the temperature sensor is broken;
  • malfunction of the electronic controller.
What to do:
  1. Check and replace heating element if defective. Inspect the wiring and look for burns, damage to the insulation.
  2. Diagnose the temperature sensor and install a new one.
  3. Repair the controller (contact the master!).
E4The Aquastop system worked.There is too much water in the dishwasher chamber. What is the reason:
  • problems with the intake valve;
  • pressure switch problems.
How to fix the situation:
  1. Check the solenoid valve for damage. Diagnostics of the electronic part is carried out with a multimeter: attach its probes to the contacts of the part, measure the resistance. Install a new valve.
  2. Replace the pressure switch, it cannot be repaired.
E5Closed the NTC sensor.The thermostat does not give a signal. Cause:
  • short circuit;
  • burnout of contacts;
  • sensor failure.
Diagnosis and replacement of the thermistor or wiring loop.

E6

E7

The thermistor circuit has opened.TEN is defective. The heater contacts are broken.Check the heating element. Install new serviceable parts.
E9There is no signal from the heating element, or it does not work.The heater has broken due to a short circuit or other reasons. Most often, a flow element built into the circulation unit suffers from this.Part diagnostics. How to replace the heating element, read in a separate article.
E10The dishwasher is running without heating.Drying integrity is compromised.It is recommended to call the master or contact the service center.
E11The equipment works with cold water. There is no heating.Faulty:
  • temperature sensor;
  • control module;
  • pressure switch;
  • wiring.
Diagnosis and installation of serviceable parts is required if:
  1. The thermistor does not measure the temperature of the water.
  2. The pressure switch does not inform the board about the water level in the bunker, the heating element does not turn on.
  3. The cable burned out, the contacts are broken.
E14Incorrect operation of the flow sensor.

The consumable element is installed instead of the pressure switch. If error E14 occurs, then it does not receive control signals, although the circulation pump receives them.

The reasons:

  • the integrity of the wiring is broken;
  • problems with the electronic board.
What can you do:
  1. Replace broken items.
  2. Inspect board for damage.
E15The leakage protection has worked.There is a water leak, or the Aquastop is out of order.Available solutions:
  1. Leak elimination.
  2. Replacement of the Aquastop system.
E16An error has occurred while taking water.The reasons:
  • problem with the flow sensor;
  • too high pressure.
Examine the sensor. Wait until the pressure is restored. Try installing a check valve.
