The experiment of Janusz Korwin-Mikke. He was inspired by… Medonet
Janusz Korwin-Mikke announced that he intends to eat only fast food for the next month. As he says on his Twitter account, he was inspired to do so by a text that was published on May 19 in Medoneta. It is an experiment by a British doctor who, for four weeks’ research purposes, ate only unhealthy food. These were mainly: frozen pizza, frozen fish fingers, breakfast cereals, fried chicken and other ready-made products.
After the end of the experiment, Christoffer van Tulleken estimated that it cost him 10 years to live. In addition, the doctor gained 6,5 kg, suffered from constipation, headaches and insomnia. He also felt anxiety.
– My libido, hemorrhoids, heartburn – everything got worse. I became anxious and depressed and this condition continued, ‘said van Tulleken. He also revealed that he was tormented by constant hunger pangs. This, in turn, caused sleep problems because the body demanded food at night.

The story of van Tulleken, although it was supposed to be an experiment “as a warning”, became an inspiration for the controversial politician. Korwin-Mikke stated that “chemistry does no harm” and food is checked, therefore it must not be poisonous. The politician also added that his 8-year-old son has been eating frozen fish fingers for five years. “And he lives”.
– Because Dr. Krzysztof van Tulleken, through whom I started this diet: https: //zywanie.medTvoiLokony/zdrowe-odzywianie/eksperyment-lekarza-przez-miesiac-jadl-fast-food-jakie-efekty/prztsch… claims that the most dangerous are fish fingers and frozen pizza – for dinner (with “Mr. Szymon”) and breakfast there were fingers, and pizzas for lunch and dinner are rudely waiting in the freezer – writes Janusz Korwin-Mikke on his Twitter profile.
Corvinus’s dietary experiment. Month with fast food
The dietary experiment of a politician for MedTvoiLokony was assessed by Dr. Bartosz Fiałek.
– It is difficult to judge what may happen, because there are also, for example, possible accompanying diseases. It is safe to say that a fast food diet is simply unhealthy and increases the risk of various diseases, including cardiovascular diseases. But you would have to play a fortune-teller to find out what will happen after a month of following such a diet, because it is an individual reaction of each person’s body. So it is impossible to judge what will happen to Mr. Janusz during this time – comments the expert.
The doctor pointed out that in fact fast food is not the direct cause of death, but it can have a huge impact, for example, on life expectancy and its quality.
– As for the composition of this «diet», of course we know that fast food is not poisonous. Here I agree that if someone eats such a product, he “lives on”. Therefore, it is unlikely that someone will simply die immediately after consumption. But this is not the same as the positive impact of such foods on human health. Lifestyle, including diet, in approx. 50% affect the functioning of the human body, the health of the individual. So how we eat has a huge impact on, for example, life expectancy and its quality, including life in full health. As a doctor, I do not recommend such a diet – adds Dr. Fiałek.
Fast food diet. What can happen after four weeks?
Are there any medical conditions that may arise after four weeks of such an experiment? It turns out that it is. And they can be really serious.
– If you eat something unhealthy from time to time, such as fast food, it should generally not be a significant problem for the health of the individual – says Dr. Fiałek. – However, if we eat like this for a month, there is a concern that it may negatively affect various economies. It is, for example, carbohydrate metabolism, but above all lipid metabolism, which is directly related to cardiovascular risk. Of course, it’s not all about death right away, however four weeks may be enough, for example, to “earn” non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Janusz Korwin-Mikke is 79 years old. This means that due to his age he may be more exposed to negative reactions of the body than a young or middle-aged person.
– Age is often associated with the presence of comorbidities – explains Dr. Fiałek. – In addition, it is also an independent risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Older age also has a negative effect on the regenerative capacity of the body, which becomes smaller and smaller. The 78-year-old’s body is focused on catabolism, that is, in simple terms, on the processes of disintegration, not building. Anabolism prevails in young people. In middle age, there is a balance between anabolism and catabolism. Later catabolism prevails. The risk of a worse adaptation of the body to such a diet is therefore greater in a 79-year-old person than, for example, in a 25-year-old person – summarizes the expert.
