Many people ask Klaudia El Dursi about her diet, thanks to which she can boast a slim figure. A celebrity has never made a secret of what she eats and what she denies herself. She admitted that she is not on any particular diet, but relies on healthy dishes and snacks and avoids carbohydrates. However, she added that she sometimes eat something unhealthy, such as chips.
On the Instagram report, she boasted a rather specific dinner. The model ate only the rice. As it turns out, this is not a diet she has started to follow, but a preparation for the SIBO breath test.
— My dinner tonight. I’m getting ready for my exhalation test for SIBO and rice is the only thing I can eat today — she confessed.
The study confirmed that Klaudia El Dursi actually has SIBO, but has not yet decided on antibiotic therapy.
«Today’s research was theoretically positive, but only slightly on the hill. It probably came out because I have very active Helicobacter pylori bacteria and this lady told me that it was definitely caused by it and for now I will not undertake SIBO treatment, but first I have to convert these helicobactery. (…) I have known for a year that I have it and I should cure it as soon as possible, but this treatment is so hard and so unpleasant that I was looking for other diseases, other reasons for my malaise all the time, and it still ends with the fact that all my ailments are caused by helicobacter » — she explained.
What is SIBO?
SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome) is a condition in the small intestine where the amount of bacteria increases significantly. This causes a malabsorption of fats and vitamins, which results in: diarrhea, gas or flatulence. The ailments worsen after eating certain products — including fermented foods, but also fresh vegetables and fruits.
Weight loss or skin symptoms such as rash and erythema, or anemia can occur with SIBO. SIBO accompanies other diseases: incl. IBS, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease.
SIBO test. How to prepare for the test?
To diagnose SIBO, it is best to perform a hydrogen test with glucose or lactulose, for which you need to prepare specially. Preparations should begin one week before the examination. First you need to stop taking laxatives and prokinetics.
In the following days, discontinue probiotics. The day before the test, do not eat certain foods, e.g. onions, leeks, garlic, cabbage, beans, pickled / pickled vegetables, milk, fruit juices, and do not smoke or chew gum for at least two hours before the test. In people with constipation, a low-fermentation diet (no complex carbohydrates, no milk and dairy products) should be implemented before the test is performed. — it is advisable to eat white rice, white bread, meat, eggs. Eat the last meal (light, fiber-free) at least 14 hours before the start of the test. On the day of the examination, it is recommended to drink a glass of warm water and avoid physical activity.
