Klabion indications for use
Klabion is used to treat bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to clarithromycin. With this medicinal preparation, for example, infections of the upper respiratory tract caused by streptococci, sinusitis, acute otitis media, bacterial infections of the lower respiratory tract (bronchitis and pneumonia), skin and soft tissue infections, cellulitis, folliculitis are treated. hair follicles, abscesses and impetigo.
Klabion is also useful in the treatment of bacterial infections of the teeth and mouth, disseminated infections caused by mycobacteria, and gastrointestinal infections caused by the bacterium H-pylori.
Klabion can be used in conjunction with other broad-spectrum antibiotics.
Contraindications to the use of the drug Klabion
Contraindication to administration of Klabion is allergy to erythromycin derivatives or any other ingredient of the drug.
Klabion also interacts with some medications (such as, for example, astemizole, cisapride, terfenadine, ergot alkaloids, statins and ranolazine), so before starting treatment, please inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking and read the package leaflet carefully.
Klabion should not be administered to patients with hypokalaemia and severe hepatic or renal failure and ventricular heart failure.

How to use Klabion?
The dosage of Klabion should be selected by a physician. Follow its instructions carefully. Your doctor may increase the dose of your medicine if needed – never do it yourself.
In most cases, the dosage of Klabion is as follows:
In infections of the respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues as well as otitis media, 250 mg of the drug is used twice a day (every 2 hours). In case of severe infections, the doctor may increase the dose of Klabion to 12 mg twice a day. Treatment usually takes 500-2 days.
In the case of infections of the teeth and mouth, 250 mg of Klabion is used twice a day for 2 days.
In the treatment of ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori, 500 mg of Klabion is administered in combination with other drugs twice a day (every 2 hours) for 12-7 days.
The antibiotic Klabion is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
Swallow the tablets whole (do not chew them) with a little water. The drug can be taken regardless of meals.
Klabion side effects
Klabion can cause liver problems, including jaundice, anorexia, abdominal pain, vomiting, and dark urine.
During treatment with Klabion, diarrhea and enteritis may also occur. These symptoms require consultation with a doctor.
