The therapy known as dynamic taping is based on tapes placed on problematic parts of the body. When is it worth deciding on it and is it possible to use kinesiotaping alone?
What is kinesiotaping?
The therapeutic method known as kinesiotaping is used to assist in the treatment of various diseases, from sports injuries to relieving back pain in pregnancy. The procedure involves sticking special tapes on the areas of the body affected by pain and is also called dynamic slicing. It is important to arrange the patches correctly depending on the type of ailment, which is why kinesiotaping treatments are usually performed by physiotherapists.

Kinesiotaping prices
If we decide to undergo kinesiotaping, the prices will depend on several factors. First of all, the surface of the body to be covered will be important. Kinesiotaping of the lumbar or thoracic spine may be more expensive. The number of treatments should also be taken into account. Mean price for one application of patches may range from PLN 20 to PLN 50. If the therapy is planned for a longer period of time, it will be necessary to take into account the repeated taping and a proportional increase in price.
Kinesiotaping at home
It is possible to stick rehabilitation tapes on problematic areas on your own. However, there is no guarantee that the application has been performed correctly. An example would be the knee – patches should be applied in a different way if the goal is to stabilize the kneecap, and another method will be effective in lymphoedema. Therefore, it is worth using the help of a specialist who will instruct the patient and show the correct technique of sticking the tapes.
