From Monday, kindergartens, pre-school education departments – kindergartens and other forms of pre-school education, after a three-week break, again operate stationary, as well as nurseries and toddler clubs. Due to the opening of nurseries and kindergartens, the care allowance is granted only until April 18.
On Monday, the amendment to the regulation of the minister of education and science on limiting the functioning of the education system units during the COVID-19 epidemic entered into force. activities of kindergartens and schools. The ordinance of the minister of family and social policy, suspending the stationary operation of nurseries, also ceased to apply.
The Ministry of Family and Social Policy informed last week that due to the opening of nurseries and kindergartens, additional care allowance will be available only until April 18, even if parents have already applied for its payment by April 25. It indicated that it would not be necessary to submit new applications or correct applications already submitted.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy also noted that the allowance will still be granted in cases where there is an unforeseen closure of a given facility or limited functioning due to COVID-19. In such a situation, in order to pay the allowance for the period after April 18, 2021 (i.e. from April 19), the parents will be required to submit a new application for the payment of the allowance – for the period in which the facility is closed.
Due to the epidemic situation, the stationary operation of public and non-public kindergartens, pre-school units in primary schools, i.e. kindergartens and other forms of pre-school education, was suspended from March 29. The classes were carried out with the use of distance learning methods and techniques or another method of carrying out the classes determined by the headmaster. From March 29, the stationary operation of public and non-public nurseries and children’s clubs was also suspended.

At the same time, the directors were obliged to organize classes in the facility for children with a certificate of need for special education, as well as for children, e.g. medical, social welfare, law enforcement and education workers.
