Kindergarten in the description of «Philosophical Tales» (N.I. Kozlov)

In this world, a person considers it natural to be in the position of an irresponsible Child, without question obeying any forces and elements: just those that had a chance to influence him now. Weather … Well, what do you want from me, if this is the weather? Mood… Don’t you understand that I’m not in the mood? Circumstances … I have nothing to do with it — circumstances are to blame for everything. And so on: he wants, he doesn’t want, he pulled, he wandered, he ran over, he became attached, weaned — for him this is as natural and invincible as the law of universal gravitation.

The stone pulls to the ground, and Vasya — to Masha. Or a bottle. Or conversation. What difference does it make, to what, but “pulls” — and this is the Law.

The beauty of such a position is obvious, because there is no responsibility in such a life. Others may be to blame (the inescapable “Why are they …”), even his Character or Zodiac Sign may be to blame (“All Taurus are always like that!”), But never he.

The most serious “must” addressed to him can always be beaten off by a weightless “don’t want to”, after which any argument loses its meaning. Playing logic with a native of the Kindergarten is like lecturing a drug addict during withdrawal: his eyes are glassy, and beyond what he needs, he will not accept anything from you. As long as your argument does not interfere, he will even listen to it, and when it becomes uncomfortable for him, he will stubbornly and cheerfully cut it off with a murderous “but it doesn’t matter!”.

The conversation that “it doesn’t matter” and reflections on the consequences here are at best perceived as a desire to offend and are instantly transferred to the level of “If so, get out of my sandbox.”

The main explanatory principle of an inhabitant of the Kindergarten is the immortal and equalizing «It happened.» The direction of life depends on the direction of the wind, and its only path is the path of least resistance.

To be “like children” is commanded in the Great Books. But falling into childhood is about something else. And adults too often do this, apparently, is not worth it.
