Ketoconazole is in the form of tablets containing 200 mg of the active ingredient. The package contains 10 or 20 oral tablets. Ketoconazole it is also found in the form of an ointment, but the concentration of the active substance is then lower than in the case of tablets.

Ketoconazole is a prescription preparation. The dose of the drug is always adjusted by the doctor, so you must not increase it yourself or stop the treatment. In the case of gastrointestinal infections, the most common dose is 200 mg per day, and in the case of vaginal mycosis, 400 mg. The drug is taken with a meal.
