In what cases is kefir-curd diet used?
Nutritionists agree that kefir and cottage cheese are indispensable components of proper nutrition. Therefore, the kefir-curd express diet for everyone who is simply lost in the sea of popular diets, but at the same time dreams of a slim figure has become a real life buoy. There are several reasons for this:
- Both kefir and cottage cheese are purely protein products and require 3 times more energy from the body for digestion compared to carbohydrate foods, therefore it is quite easy to maintain this diet due to the large number of foods in the diet.
- Both cottage cheese and kefir themselves are products for proper nutrition, most mixed diets are based on them.
- Both kefir and cottage cheese contain almost no cholesterol, which, as everyone knows, is the cause of a serious age-related disease of atherosclerosis.
- Both cottage cheese and kefir, even without supplements, contain a huge amount of bacteria that have a positive effect on our digestive tract – and even more so if these products are additionally enriched with biobacteria.
Therefore, the kefir-curd diet is one of the most useful diets recommended by nutritionists and prescribed by doctors for diseases of the kidneys and liver, heart, atherosclerosis, diabetes and other diseases.
Requirements of kefir-curd diet for 1 day
To spend 1 day of the kefir-curd diet, 200-250 g of cottage cheese (one package) and 1 liter of regular kefir are required.
Kefir for a diet is better fresh (up to 3 days). The ideal fat content is 0% or 1%, but not more than 2,5%. You can, in addition to kefir, any fermented milk not sweet product – yogurt, fermented baked milk, whey, kumis, ayran, or another, which is produced in your area with similar calorie or fat content (no more than 40 Kcal / 100 g), is also suitable with dietary supplements.
We also buy the freshest cottage cheese. Fat content up to 2%, according to the names on the package, dietary cottage cheese or low-fat cottage cheese is suitable. In some sources, the kefir-curd diet allows for 9% cottage cheese and an increase in its amount up to 500 g. Such a volume of cottage cheese and such fat content are unacceptable for spending one kefir-curd day due to the high daily calorie content. But for a kefir-curd diet for 5-7 days, such an amount will be normal, with an average daily calorie content of 700-800 Kcal.
Another day you need to drink at least 1,5 liters. water, ordinary, non-mineralized and non-carbonated – ordinary, green, herbal tea is allowed, but vegetable / fruit juices are not allowed.
We start the day with a glass (200 ml) of kefir. In the future, during the day, you need to eat all the cottage cheese, dividing it into 4-5 parts, and alternating between eating cottage cheese with drinking kefir every 2-3 hours – the intervals can be slightly increased or decreased. For example, at 7-30 kefir, at 10-00 a fourth part of cottage cheese, at 12-00 kefir, at 14-00 again a fourth part of cottage cheese, at 16-00 kefir, etc. An alternative menu option provides for the simultaneous eating of cottage cheese and drinking kefir every 3-4 hours. Both options are completely identical and you decide which one to choose at your own discretion, for example, on a working day, option 2 is preferable due to the large intervals between meals.
Don’t forget about 1,5 liters. plain water. You can also use regular black, herbal or green or herbal tea, but not natural juices.
Menu options for kefir-curd fasting day
All options differ in taste and have the same effectiveness, so we choose according to our preferences.
1. Kefir-curd diet for 1 day with dried fruits – to 1 l. kefir and 200 g of cottage cheese, you can add 40-50 g of any dried fruits – dried apricots, raisins, persimmons, apples, prunes or their mixtures. This menu option, in addition to kefir, has a slight laxative effect (primarily due to prunes). Dried fruits are divided into 4 parts and eaten with cottage cheese. Dried fruits can be pre-soaked (in the evening), but not at all.
2. Kefir-curd fasting day with bran – as an additive with a strong feeling of hunger, add 1 tablespoon to each part of the cottage cheese. rye, oat or wheat bran. Alternatively, the bran can be replaced with oatmeal, muesli or any ready-to-use fruit-grain mixtures – then add not whole, but half a tablespoon.
3. Kefir-curd diet for 1 day with honey – This option is used for severe headaches that occur in some people in the absence of carbohydrates. It is allowed to add 1 tsp to each part of kefir. honey. If you suddenly have a headache during a diet, just add honey to your next intake of kefir or cottage cheese. You can mix honey with cottage cheese (but also not necessary), jam or jam is also suitable.
4. Kefir-curd diet for 1 day with berries – in the summer, when the range of berries is very large, the diet can be carried out by adding a little of any fresh berries to kefir or cottage cheese. Strawberries, wild strawberries, currants, watermelon, cherries, cherries, gooseberries – absolutely any berries will do.
5. Kefir-curd diet for 1 day with rosehip decoction – at the end of winter and early spring, it is better to use this option, which will guarantee an additional high level of vitamin C during the diet, when the body is significantly weakened. Together with the cottage cheese, we drink a glass of rosehip broth (or rosehip tea). Hibiscus tea and any fortified tea have exactly the same effect.
Contraindications for kefir-curd diet for 1 day
The diet cannot be carried out:
1. During pregnancy

4. With stomach ulcers, gastritis with high acidity or other serious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract
